THE ROGERS' FAMILY DOES SINGAPORE

There are very few things that excite me more than my nephews and niece.  So you can imagine my level of excitement when one of my nephews came to Singapore for 9 days of playtime!

Pete, Cara and Matthew took the 21 hour journey to the little red dot. Upon arrival at Changi airport, Jim and I whisked them away in a van (well, we figured out how to install the car seat, then whisked them) and sliced up a coconut to welcome them into paradise. The next 9 days were a whirlwind.

Coconut Welcome.
Naturally, we hit up all our favorite go-to spots (Botanic Gardens, Haji Lane, Little India, Gardens by the Bay, Sentosa etc), but thanks to Matthew - we were also able to explore some new, fun kid-friendly joints such as splash pads and the Night Safari!

The boys took a ferry to Bintan, Indonesia for the day and went golfing in the extreme heat!

But the true highlight of the trip was our stay at the Marina Bay Sands hotel.  The MBS is the epitome of luxury and home to the World's Highest Infinity Pool.  When we checked in, we were rewarded with an amazing room upgrade.  A $7,000 a night upgrade to be exact.  Our room had a bird's eye view of Singapore, a baby grand in the massive living room, an office, massage room, hair salon, full kitchen, workout room and our fav - a private Karoake room (called KTV here).  We took full advantage of the KTV, even if our song choices included Twinkle Twinkle Little Star and Old McDonald (how children change you).

Our stay at MBS truly ended the trip on a high note.  We were so sad to see Pete, Cara and Matthew leave, but cannot thank them enough for making the incredibly long journey to see our new Singapore life!

Cheers!
