The Formans in Singapore

Our first visitors arrived in Singapore!  Ashley and Taylor arrived shortly after midnight.  I met them at the Changi Airport and quickly whisked them back to our apartment to crash after the 21 hour flight.

The next day - we went non-stop! Ashley and Taylor only had 2 1/2 days in Singapore so they pushed through the jetlag to maximize their time here!

The day started with a river taxi ride to the Gardens by the Bay, exploring the Cloud & Flower Domes, and then climbing the Super Trees.

Our ride is here!

After a busy morning, we had a relaxing Thai lunch by the river and then headed to Sentosa!  We took a cable car to Mount Faber Park and then into the Island of Sentosa.

After a quick nap, we headed to the temples in Chinatown and our favorite Hawker Centre for some beer & dumplings.

We began Day 2 with the famed MacRitchie Reservoir Hike.  It was my first time doing it as well - and it lived up to its stellar reputations.  Monkeys... monkeys... everywhere!  10 miles of rainforest beauty - with a treetop suspension bridge in the middle.  Truly incredible.  Jim had to work (poor guy), but I promised him we would go back!

After our 10 mile hike, we went straight to the River Zoo.  Unfortunately, the River Safari Cruise was closed, but we still walked around and enjoyed some very large, creepy prehistoric looking animals.

Alligators from India.. apparently vegetarian - but I wouldn't risk it

Wednesday night we went BIG (think Thursday night College style). Singapore Slings at the Raffles Hotel (where the last lion in Singapore was supposedly killed), Din Tai Fung (more dumplings), the casino and bar on top of the Marina Bay Sands! It was a jam-packed fun-filled night to send our two guests out in style!

In the morning, Ashley and Taylor had a few hours to kill before their flight to Hong Kong so we headed to the Botanic Gardens for a hike, giant iguana spottings, and some brunch.

It was so good to see some familiar faces! I am so happy they traveled all the way to Singapore!  After a teary-eyed goodbye, they were off to enjoy their next travel adventure!

Cheers,
Jenna & Jim
