Rogers Do Singapore: New Neighborhood

Finally, Jim and I have a permanent residence. We moved into our condo in the Robertson Quay area last weekend (the 28th of February). Since then, we have been unpacking, making Ikea runs and setting up appointments to get things turned on. Today we got internet so we can finally update the blog again! We'll share some pics of our place once we have it fully organized.

Below is a quick recap of what we have been up to in between trips to the store.

Singapore Gardens by the Bay

These gardens were absolutely stunning! There are two domes - the Flower Dome and the Cloud Dome. It was rather humid the day that we went (and Jim got us lost on the way there), so we chose the Cloud Dome because it has AC.

The colors in the Cloud Dome were amazing. We could devote an entire blog to the pictures we have of all of the plants.

Jim's CNY Company Party

Jim's company had a Chinese New Year's Great Gatsby Party. It was great to participate in the festivities and meet some of his co-workers! We were definitely underdressed for the occasion (Our black-tie attire did not make it in the 9 suitcases we brought over... ).

Celebration Dinner

Jim and I went out for a nice dinner to celebrate our move into the new condo. We found a great Italian restaurant along the boardwalk and enjoyed a nice bottle of Valpolicella while watching the colorful boats go by.
