St. Patrick's Day

Happy St. Patrick's Day!!

Jim and I were pleasantly surprised to find out there was a St. Patrick's Day celebration here - complete with a mini parade, Irish music, and Irish Dancers!  Since we had never been to the main bar hosting the event, we walked over to check it out.  Turns out that we actually showed up a day before the big event, but still got to enjoy some Irish music and Guinness. 

We obviously returned for the real celebration and parade the next day.  We ran into some friends (yes, we've finally met some friends!) and enjoyed good company and a few more refreshing Bulmers.

Another first - we experienced our first "sun outage".  Since cable/television was down, I took the opportunity to explore Fort Canning Park while Jim was at work.  

 This is for real.

The area in which we moved is walking distance to amazing restaurants/bars along the river.  The walk at nighttime is my favorite and has become a common activity for us.  The entire area lights up as people leave work to enjoy a pint along the river.
